Valuation Trainee or Analyst

Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services is currently seeking a Valuation Trainee or Analyst for its Chicago, IL office. This is a position that will lead to becoming a Certified Commercial Appraiser as the trainee meets state requirements.

* Assisting a state certified appraiser in the valuation of retail, office, industrial, and multi-family * Collecting subject data such as land, building, tax and zoning information * Updating regional and local market data * Conducting interviews with market participants * Researching and writing overviews of real estate trends * Compilation and database entry of rent and sale comparable data * Analyzing comparable data relative to subject property characteristics * Examining historical income and expense information for the subject property * Aiding in projecting cash flows for direct capitalization and discounted cash flow analyses

* Bachelor’s degree * Strong knowledge base in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel * Excellent research and analytical skills * Works well in a team/office environment * Interest in the Real Estate Profession * Exceptional written and oral communication skills * Detail-oriented * Self-starter
