Summary
The Senior Corporate Finance Analyst provides financial support to assess commercial and strategic partnerships to expand the core business and/or to enter new or adjacent markets. This role provides financial expertise and partners with Business Line Management, Corporate Strategy and Global Business Development to evaluate and execute on merger and acquisition, joint venture, investment and commercial opportunities. The Senior Analyst also collaborates with external financial advisors.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive research and financial analysis in support of mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and commercial transactions * Build financial models, projections and sensitivity analysis * Calculate metrics (NPV, ROI, Payback Period, etc.) to assess business drivers and risks for proposed business opportunities * Participate in cross-functional due-diligence efforts * Assist in the development and review of term sheets and definitive agreements, primarily with respect to key financial terms * Utilize Excel and PowerPoint to develop analysis and presentation materials to facilitate decision making * Collaborate to develop business cases required in support of transactions and investment recommendations * Create and distribute corporate intelligence information for enterprise-wide use, including competitive analysis and M&A trends * Review work of analysts and interns, providing coaching and mentoring
Ideal Candidate
* B.A. or B.S. in business, finance or economics * 4-6 years experience in financial role * Strong financial acumen and analytic skills * Practical experience developing and reviewing valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow models, comparable company analysis, transaction analysis, accretion dilution, synergy analysis and sensitivity analysis * Progress towards CPA, CFA, or other financial certifications is a plus * Microsoft Office suite with advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
