Senior DevOps Engineer

We need a software engineer for our Cloud DevOps team who has a background in DevOps, with language experience in scripting languages like Ruby or JavaScript, and who is familiar with Cloud environments such as AWS or Azure. Your focus will be creating and maintaining resources that enable Continuous Delivery of our Cloud Mobility related products, engineering work for our Cloud hosted web sites, as well as setting up and maintaining real-time monitoring systems to monitor cloud services and related cloud resources.

• Coding in scripting languages like JavaScript or Ruby
• Working with Continuous Delivery technologies and tools (such as Docker)
• Frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Creating and maintaining cloud services, microservices, and other resources
• Using system configuration tools such as Chef

Minimum Skills

• Experience working with Cloud environments like AWS or Azure
• Advanced hands on experience with popular scripting languages such as JavaScript or Ruby
• Good knowledge of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
• Understanding of network protocols
• Knowledge of secure communication tools and principles (ssh, ssl/tls)

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with automated testing systems and libraries, such as TestNG or JUnit
• Comfortable with continuous integration practices and their implementations such as Docker
• Knowledge of Object Oriented languages such as Java or C#
• MySQL Database familiarity
• Experience with system configuration such as Chef
• Familiar with common Agile practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with commercial or open source monitoring systems (e.g.Icinga)
• Setting up reliable and easy to use deployment and recovery scripts for use by you and your peers
• Monitoring systems for availability, load, and performance while making actionable recommendations based on that data
