About CHECKR

Checkr provides simple, fast and compliant background screenings for Enterprises and Startups. Companies can use Checkr’s API or web dashboard to manage all their background screening needs, from applicant consent to adverse actions.

Summary

Checkr is seeking to hire a product manager that has a passion for technical and business collaboration and desires to help scale a successful SaaS product to reach new customers and markets (Enterprise, SMB, International). The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit combined with a successful track record of writing software, managing the product life cycle and collaborating with engineering teams to help deliver products and features.

Responsibilities
  • Build deep understanding and empathy for external and internal users of Checkr and; driving product advancements large and small that effortlessly empower and delight our users.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ship new, impactful features, including preparing necessary technical specifications, coordinating development activity and tracking progress of in-flight projects.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, customers and technology partners to deeply understand, document, analyze and synthesize customer needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications.
  • Process, review and interpret large bodies of qualitative and quantitative data on customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights.
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects across multiple teams.
Ideal Candidate
  • BS or MS in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar experience.
  • 2 years or more experience as a Product Manager.
  • 2 years or more experience as a Software Engineer or similar.
  • Strong UI/UX skills.
  • Experience with usage and design of Restful APIs.
  • Experience with a variety of software development methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, with demonstrable abilities in interaction design, rapid prototyping and user research.
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret and present data.
  • Deep understanding of and empathy for users.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
