Our CompanyThe Charlie Palmer Group began in 1988 when Chef Charlie Palmer opened the beloved, original location of Aureole in a townhouse on Manhattan's East 61st Street. Since those days, he's spent his storied career building a company of restaurants and hotels filled with consummate professionals who are all passionate about three things: food, beverage, and most importantly, hospitality. For over 25 years Chef Palmer has trained and helped to catalyze the careers of many celebrated chefs and hospitality professionals including Michael Mina, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, Ilan Hall, Gerry Hayden, and many more. Chef Palmer believes in the principal of promoting from within; many of our Executive Chefs and General Managers began as line cooks or culinary externs. As an alumnus and the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Culinary Institute of America, Chef Palmer values culinary training and hands on experience.
