DevOps Engineer

Our software is designed to eliminate unnecessary activity, improve human collaboration, offer greater insight, reduce errors and help users achieve more in their professional lives.

The DevOps Engineer will work within our Production Operations Team and be responsible for building out Ruby on Rails web application infrastructure as well as incorporating any new technologies into our tech stack. We are looking for engineers who can help us execute in building our application and want to have a say in the technological direction of Centro. DevOps is a mindset, which makes you comfortable working on all layers of the stack, and motivates you to help expedite the delivery of software from conception to production.

* Enables CI and CD through development of appropriate tools and infrastructure. * Participates in technical discussions, provides insights based upon past experience and implements the best solutions. * Works across application stack to move software to production, as needed. * Develops monitoring solutions, which alert the team of potential issues. * Helps resolve technical issues in production and other environments, which are critical to business needs.

* Self-driven and takes ownership very seriously * Scripting languages like Ruby (2.0+), or Python (2.7.x and/or 3.x) is a big plus * Standard Unix/Linux based debugging and profiling tools (strace, gdb, etc) * Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo * Database administration – PostgreSQL preferred * Deployment tools such as Capistrano, Mina, and others * Experience with, a Configuration Management / Orchestration tools – Salt preferred. * Experience supporting production web applications is a must, production support of SaaS is a big plus * Knowledgeable with N-Tier cluster technologies (apache, memcache, redis) * Amazon Web Services is a big plus
