Strategic Sourcing Director

The Strategic Sourcing Director will be responsible for managing the portfolio for an entire service line including strategic sourcing, contracting and value analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of the respective category along with an executive presence to ensure operational and financial goals are met.

* Manage the contract portfolio for an entire category, including contracting, compliance, and value / spend analysis * Provide leadership, guidance and support to other procurement team members to enhance their understanding in best practices in procurement operations to ensure operational and financial goals are met * Responsible for identifying cost savings opportunities and the implementation of programs to actualize these savings * Develop and enable value analysis and other techniques to evaluate products/services and facilitate changes resulting in cost savings while preserving quality of products/service * Directs internal and external processes to ensure an integrated sourcing system that meets customer requirements, minimizes total cost of ownership, maximizes effectiveness including conforming to established quality standards that is responsive to the needs of the business. * Responsible for developing and delivering on a profitable growth strategy, operational plan and financial objectives for a product/service category or categories. * Analyze historic category spend and demand drivers * Manage vendor service utilization and seek to reduce under-utilized consumption * Audit vendor spend against forecasts, Procurement governance and policy, and business needs * Ensure vendor contract rates are at or below market * Structure SLAs for vendor agreements in concert with business stakeholders and Procurement policy

* 8-10 years of Procurement experience * Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management. * Proven track record of cost savings. * Bachelor’s degree * PMP Certification preferred * Excellent communication and project management skills * Demonstrated problem solving skills * Strong influencing skills with issue mitigation mentality * Ability to manage vendor relationships * Sense of Urgency * Technical Competencies * Established track record of successfully managing vendor relationships * Experience with an excellent understanding of a service-based/SLA-based vendor delivery model * Solid knowledge of procurement systems/processes/tools * Skilled negotiator with understanding of key supply markets * Deep knowledge of project management principles and techniques
