Summary
The purpose of this role is to provide financial analysis and support for the Government Services Business and Corporate Finance Departments of a publically traded company. Creates & develops budgeting forecasts & financial models, experience studies, variance analysis, and the preparation of bi-weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting for the Leadership Team. With direct exposure to the Government Services President and Corporate Management Teams.
Responsibilities
* Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information * Participate in annual / monthly budgeting and forecasting activities for Government Services organization * Continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools * Prepare and analyze financial information and reports for use by management for decision making purposes * Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance * Assist in preparation of Bi-Weekly Reports and analyses for actionable Management decision making * Prepare presentations for Senior Management Team * Interface with Accounting, and other departments within CDI * Work closely with Division Managers and Business Manager on monitoring finances * Contributes to team effort by performing ad hoc analyses as needed * May occasionally require travel (up to 5% max)
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Skills Requirements:** * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance * Minimal 4 years’ experience in Financial Analysis * Prior Government Contractor experience * Understanding of FAR / DFAR / CAS and GAAP * CostPoint Experience a plus * Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills * Experience with data manipulation & analysis; good eye for data visualization * Ability to work well under time sensitive deadlines * Strong attention to detail and highly organized * Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated * Team work oriented with strong business acumen **Security Requirements:** * Applicant may be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government.
