Product Manager

Calypso Technology is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated and creative thinking individual to join our Front Office Product Management team as a specialist in Equity Derivatives, covering all aspects of this complex product discipline, plus a working knowledge of the underlying Equities Market. Knowledge and understanding of Structured and Exotic products would also be a benefit. As a Product Manager you will have responsibilities which will have a direct impact on the growth of the organization. You are responsible for increasing the utility from existing products and for developing new products that will define the solution within our target markets. The expectation is that you know the market structure and its current trends, you have experience in the range of financial products in this market and how they are created, marketed, transacted and risk managed. You will leverage this knowledge when you work with your other Product Manager colleagues to design an ideal solution for practitioners in this market and when you train our pre-sales and sales colleagues how best to present this solution to the market. In this role you will be a center of attention for product knowledge working closely with most other groups in the organization as well as our current customers and with prospects as an expert during sales projects. This will enable you to maintain your knowledge of the latest requirements and implement new functionality that will allow Calypso to maintain a competitive advantage. * Develop and maintain the product roadmap to deliver solutions for our target markets. * Determine the market segments that we can optimally target with the current and planned Equity solutions. * Gather and prioritize inputs from this market analysis, from sales engagements, and team ideas to ensure that the roadmap matches the market requirements and we are competitive and innovative. * Work collaboratively with customers and prospects to gather feedback used to drive customer satisfaction and the product roadmap. * Monitor changes to the regulatory requirements and adapt the Calypso solution to support them in the necessary timeframe. * Write detailed functional requirements and specifications and work closely with the development team to design and build the correct solutions. * Coordinate delivery of the solutions through working with engineering, quality assurance and documentation team counterparts. * Participate in product launches to provide key messages, competitive profiling and product content for marketing. * Participate in the sales process adding credibility by demonstrating product features and presenting the product roadmap as the solution owner and industry expert. * Train sales people and sales support people on the features of the product and how best to demonstrate and sell it.

* B.S. Master in Business/Finance or a Technical Field * Direct business experience in structuring equity derivatives and exotics * Minimum of 5 years overall professional work experience using or consulting on or designing financial software * Experience of working with a small team and leading initiatives * Must be a fast learner who is self-motivated and highly driven to succeed * Must welcome collaborative work across teams and sharing ideas in an open forum * Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential * EndFragment
