Cadence is a leading provider of EDA and semiconductor IP. Our custom/analog tools help engineers design the transistors, standard cells, and IP blocks that make up SoCs. Our digital tools automate the design and verification of giga-scale, giga-hertz SoCs at the latest semiconductor processing nodes. Summary
Technical Program Manager: Manages business relationships, leads complex projects, and creates innovate solutions to increase R&D productivity. This highly technical individual must possess strong knowledge of core infrastructure components including identity management, SSO, HPC compute, networks, storage, backups and the associated management, monitoring, and automation of these areas. The IT R&D Solutions Architect will partner with Solutions and Enterprise architects in cross-functional teams taking conceptual architectures, repeatable patterns, and decision frameworks to an implementable solution design. The IT R&D Solutions Architect must also be able to develop reference diagrams and through iterative governance cycles mature it to solution architecture through reviews and 18 month roadmaps. Responsibilities
* Demonstrates mastery of EDA/Semiconductor and emerging technology industry trends thru peer reviews, conferences and knowledge sharing sessions. * Recommend and define roadmaps aligning with IT/R&D long term plans to company strategy. * Lead in process design/redesign, solution architecture design, infrastructure design and planning, system upgrades and migrations, acceptance testing, and maintenance strategy development according to established roadmaps. * Possesses an in-depth understanding of relevant technology trends, technical tools and platforms, and emerging/evolving software and services related to software development. * Mentor cross-functional architects on R&D specific requirements and technology solutions. **Specific Ongoing Duties** * Define 18 month roadmaps taking into account IT projects and R&D specific efforts for assigned BU’s. * Regular knowledge transfers to direct team and cross-functional peers in IT. * Ensure execution of projects align to roadmaps, coordinate with PMO, conduct regular meetings with business liaisons. * Participate in M&A activities.
Ideal Candidate
* 4 year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience. Advanced degree preferred * 8+ years of professional experience in the field of Information Technology and Enterprise Architecture * Experience with cloud computing architecture in a hybrid model is a significant benefit. * Platform technology knowledge from major vendors and open source solutions for database, middleware, backup and recovery is required. Can work with global teams in different time zones to achieve common goals.
