Summary
The Manager of Quality Control is responsible for developing and implementing appropriate quality control procedures to ensure that our print/mail operations effectively and efficiently print/mail output that meets or exceeds Broadridge and client quality requirements. You will play a lead role in ensuring conformance to all ISO standards, execute internal quality audits and work with the Production Operations team to measure quality and implement preventive and corrective actions to address quality issues.
Responsibilities
* Oversees Quality Assurance and Control staff and functions in the Secaucus location to ensure that all work produced meets or exceeds Broadridge and client expectations. * Partners with Quality Assurance and Production teams in other Broadridge sites to ensure that Best Practices are adopted across all locations. * Develops Quality Assurance/Control audits and processes that can prevent errors and works with Print, Production, Client Service and Systems representatives as well as outside vendors to identify systemic approaches to improving quality. * Works with Print/Production management to ensure that all required procedures are documented in accordance with ISO standards. Actively participates in both internal and external ISO audits, as well as client audits/tours. Partners with operations teams to effectively address non-conformance identified during audits. * Supports Account Management Staff in acting as a liaison to clients to address quality issues/concerns raised by clients. Ensures that RCA's and Remedy requests are effectively addressed on a timely basis. * Coordinates quarterly Remedy review meetings to document/address quality trends and ensure that corrective actions have been effective. * Provides assigned staff with performance feedback on an ongoing basis. Prepares/delivers periodic performance reviews for assigned staff. Develops performance/career development plans to help them achieve their potential. * Effectively deals with personnel related issues and ensures that assigned staff are effectively managed. * Reviews expected volumes and identify appropriate staffing levels. Communicate staffing requests to temp agencies to ensure departmental temp requirements are met. * Supports the implementation of new equipment and technologies by conducting quality control tests and developing methods to audit/validate output. * Effectively motivates staff to create a highly engaged workforce. Communicates and continually reinforces Broadridge Values, Vision Statement, Quality Policy, and commitment to the Service Profit Chain with assigned staff. * Develops and implements appropriate reports/metrics to monitor quality, productivity and efficiency trends. * Prepares Quality Control Department annual budget, and prepares monthly expense variance analyses. * Cross-trains staff to ensure that multiple backups are available to support each function within the Quality Control Department. Ensures procedures are documented and that staff is appropriately trained to perform their required functions. * Identifies key staff/top performers and implement plans to help them reach their full potential through various training and work assignments. * Consistently improves team productivity, quality and efficiency and implements cost containment initiatives to reduce expenses where possible and prudent. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree preferred * 3-5 years in a production environment * 3-5 years in managing a team * Experience in change management
