Summary
The Financial Analyst - Marketing is responsible for supporting the Fuels NA Marketing Team with responsibility for financial management, planning and performance management processes. You will be responsible for ensuring financial control for all North America Marketing and Credit Card activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the financial ledgers to ensure Marketing and Credit Card transactions have been recorded properly, as well as provide actual vs forecast variance analysis to management. Monitor and control the Marketing and Credit Card financial activities including assuring accuracy and completeness of results. - Provide financial analysis and reporting for Marketing and Credit Card activities including explanation of the results with business drivers. - Develop all Planning & Performance commentary requirements (GFO/GFR, LE, Flash, CBM, etc.). - Prepare 30-month Marketing and Credit Card Financial Forecast for monthly CBM (Commercial Business Management) Review. - Provide detailed Marketing Fixed Cash Cost Analysis and Forecast and possess an understanding of business drivers of spend - Support business challenging cash cost forecast and areas to reduce spend - Perform various initiatives to improve the effectiveness of financial controls and analysis by engaging with contacts across Finance, M&S and GBS. This position engages in a variety of ad hoc projects. - Actively participate in Marketing Team Meetings
Ideal Candidate
**Essential Education** - A Bachelor Degree is required. **Essential experience and job requirements** - Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate and react to large amounts of diverse data - Strong focus on performance delivery and results-oriented - Possess the ability to interpret data to identify and communicate key economic drivers to improve decision-making **Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Location)** - Up to 10% of travel may be required for this role **Desirable criteria & qualifications** - A Bachelor's or advanced degree - 5+ years of financial experience including understanding of refining and market economics - Understanding and appreciation of the business strategy - Understanding of marketing or cards business - Systems and application skills (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, database, etc.) - Possesses the ability to interpret and validate data and identify key economic drivers and has expertise in the tools and techniques used to analyze. - Able to routinely utilize numbers and analytical techniques in a manner that improves both understanding and decision-making **Relocation available** Yes - Domestic (In country) only **Travel required** Yes - up to 10%
