Responsibilities
  • Provide contracts support to DoD Navy clients. Assist with the contracting and acquisition life cycle, including pre-award contract planning, source selection support, and post-award contract management
  • Assist with the development and execution of acquisition and contracting strategies and provide analysis in support of the management of awarded contracts.
  • Provide analyses to contracting or acquisition documents, including acquisition plans, source selection plans, determination and findings, justification and approvals, statements of work, CDRLs, DD254s, task and delivery orders, and modification or procurement requests.
  • Perform contract closeout and prepare modifications, including award fee, if applicable and funding and exercise contract options with guidance and assistance from a client and or contracting officer.
  • Prepare contract files with the proper documentation.
Ideal Candidate

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with acquisition or contracting in a government or government support role-Experience with FAR, DFAR, and DoD 5000 series regulations and supporting major systems acquisitions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and using Microsoft PowerPoint at the expert level-Active Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with preparing briefings and reports appropriate for senior government executives
  • Experience with Navy DoD-Knowledge of performance-based contracting using various methods-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 1 in Contracts Management or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Certification

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
