Big Data Developer

Assist with building a robust and service oriented common services platform. Build the platform using Cutting-edge capabilities and emerging technologies, including the Data Lake and the Hortonworks Data Platform, which will be used by thousands of users. Work in a Scrum based Agile team environment using Hadoop. Install and configure the Hadoop and HDFS environment using the Hortonworks Data Platform. Create ETL and data ingest jobs using Map Reduce, Pig, or Hive. Work with and integrate multiple types of data, including unstructured, structured, and streaming. Use Lucene powered tools to implement a search service for all data sets.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Java programming
• Experience with Hadoop or HDFS
• Experience in working with relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience with business development
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience with a NoSQL database
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
• BS degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, or a related field
