Summary
The Institutional Wealth Sales Specialist assists in the development of new business by developing and preparing sales materials, and preparing responses to formal requests for proposals. The IW Sales Specialist also assists directly in the sales effort by identifying, researching, and profiling prospects; working with sales officer to develop sales strategies; provides sales tracking; prepares sales materials for sales calls and presentations; prepares competitive analysis for sales officers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepares sales materials, which includes researching, developing, writing, editing, and completing responses to Formal Requests for proposals, Finals Presentation materials, and standard Sales Pitchbooks, including pricing pro-formas, customer/product profitability analysis, and responding to questionnaires regarding product functionality. - Assists sales officer with sales calls which includes preparation of materials needed for the call, assisting with any visual presentations, documenting the sales call, and assisting with any required follow-up. - Coordinates mail campaigns to selected prospects, which includes development of mail pieces and maintenance of mail lists; designs and develops marketing materials; works with Manager, Sales Administration to develop direct mail pieces, direct mail letters, newsletters, posters for exhibit booth, etc.; coordinates exhibits at convention, including registration, travel plans, and coordinating shipping of booth and materials. - Identifies, researches, and profiles prospects; assumes responsibility for utilizing various resources, both internal and external, to identify potential prospects, obtain pertinent information, and rank the prospects based on potential for success and estimated profitability; works with commercial loan officers and Treasury Services officers to complete profiles and assists sales officer in developing sales strategies, which includes a plan for future marketing and calling efforts by all resources of the bank.
Ideal Candidate
- Thorough knowledge of retirement plan products and services, investment products, and other products offered through other areas of the bank, including operational capabilities, and pricing - Thorough knowledge of retirement plan regulations, service delivery requirements, recordkeeping systems, implementation requirements, and necessary agreements - Thorough knowledge of mutual fund investments including expense ratios, investment styles, and presentation of performance history - Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills - Excellent PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint - Ability to present information in a well-written and well-designed format - Strong ability to conceive and develop promotional and marketing campaigns * This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business and 1-4 years in banking, investments, sales, or marketing or 9-11 years of equivalent work related experience.
