Junior Developer

Blinds.com, based in Houston, Texas, is the largest online seller of blinds.

We are looking for a Junior Developer who is who is ready to take a leap into unknown waters.The Junior Developer is passionate about software development and is driven to learn new skills quickly. The Junior Developer is involved in all aspects of the software development process but tends to focus on fixing bugs, coding small features, performing manuals tests, automating tests, automating build/deployment processes and doing whatever else the team needs to be successful.

* Fixes bugs, performs manual tests, automates tests and other components to meet the needs of the team with guidance from other team members * Learns new skills as necessary to be a productive member of the team * Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience * A passion for software development. Has a strong desire to build useful solutions using code. Can demonstrate at least a useful sample application and discuss the code behind it with authority. * Passionate about delivering high quality solutions * Some understanding of .NET development * Good oral and written communication skills * Any development or automated test experience a plus * Strong team player * Passionate about software development * Confident in speaking up and being yourself * Innovative/Pioneering spirit * Driven to deliver solutions that delight customers * Passionate customer advocate * Flexible, comfortable with change * Quick learner, seeks out new skill sets required for success
