You love bringing design, content, analytics and customer experience together to create an amazing brand for customers. You're a combination of right and left brained - a structured approach to brand marketing with clear strategies, messaging rooted in insights, and impact measured in data; and bringing it to life with consistent creativity across customer touch-points. You are comfortable managing and guiding a creative team, and partnering with growth, product, and analytics to deliver a consistent experience that’s rooted in a combination of insight and magic. You think that brand experiences are most effective when they spark new customer sign-ups and deepen existing customer loyalty over time.
Responsibilities
* Own brand positioning across Betterment Retail, Betterment for Business, and Betterment Institutional - strategy, key messages and differentiators based on customer decision journey * Own a metrics-driven content organization - focused on awareness, conversion, retention, and share of wallet * Creative direction for all of Betterment marketing, brochure site (Betterment.com, et al), and onboarding experience * Increase brand metrics - awareness, favorability, NPS * Manage the social & community experience strategy for Betterment * Partner with: * Growth team to develop strategies and campaigns aimed to grow key customer segments via paid, owned, and earned marketing * Customer marketing team to leverage customer insights and decision journeys to developbrand strategies, campaigns, experience and content * Product teams to ensure consistent experience in transition from Brochure to Onboarding to App experience * Analytics team to ensure testing, tracking and targeting strategies are measured and managed
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * 12+ years of Marketing experience with 5+ years at the Director level * Bachelor’s degree from a top tier college, MBA preferred * Consumer and B2B Experience * 6-8 years experience owning brand and/or integrated marketing - developing brand positioning, creative briefs, and integrated marketing strategies * Experience managing creative and business teams * Experience testing and managing incrementality of marketing efforts * Comfort in a high performance, metrics driven organization * Excellent communication skills, visual, written and spoken * Strong analytical background with proven ability to use analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimization and additional scale * Ability to partner across finance, analytics, customer, product, and growth teams * Creativity, breadth of interests, and initiative * Ability to learn quickly **Nice-to-Haves:** * Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment * Interest in personal finance, financial planning or investing
