You are passionate about creating great user experiences on everything from the web to mobile devices. * You have experience planning and executing both redesign and new-concept design projects, from start to finish. You look at the world around you, and see opportunities to improve the design and experience of everything. You are frustrated with financial products and know you can build a better customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Design the user experience from concept through production for products and features * Create user flows, information architecture, interaction models, wireframes, and high fidelity prototypes to communicate the design * Synthesize competitor offerings, customer feedback, site metrics and usability reports into user-centered designs * Lead and run usability testing to determine whether features and products have met business and usability objectives * Iterate rapidly and work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and designers
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking candidates who exhibit a strong desire to work in a startup environment and a record of high achievement. **Successful candidates will have:** * A minimum of 5 years' experience in product development teams working on user experience/interaction design * A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates advanced skills in web and mobile user experience design * Experience working with user-centered design * Knowledge of how to best design to solve business and user problems through a keen understanding of customer needs * Experience planning and executing both redesign and new-concept design projects, from start to finish * Passion about what you do and an obsession with staying on top of UX / UI trends and tools * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken * A desire to tinker all the time while still getting the day job done * Empathy * Extra attention to detail * Creativity, breadth of interests, and initiative * Ability to learn quickly **Nice-to-haves** * Experience in user research and usability testing * Ability to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of user interactions and synthesize findings for management and development teams
