Bellhops is the new option in between begging friends for help and booking 'movers'. Through our apps and online platform, we connect athletic students with people needing moving help and lifting labor.

Help Bellhops engineer the new way to move things! We're looking for software engineers who are passionate about solving difficult problems and enjoy automating core business logic. As a Mobile Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement features in our iOS and Android apps which drive thousands of on-demand labor experiences connecting customers with our labor force. You will work with technologies like Swift, Java, native iOS and Android frameworks as well as many third party tools like Crashlytics, Facebook, Circle CI and more.

We know that some of these technologies may be unfamiliar to you, but with our mentorship you'll have the ability to learn quickly and dive right into pair programming on contributions to our systems. We also use continuous integration and automated testing to ensure that our contributions are stable at all times. Our team relies upon open source software projects within our stack, so we're happy to let our engineers work on contributions to open source as a part of their day to day development. We allow flexibility in defining roles and responsibilities, because we value engineers who are self-starters that target the highest impact problems on their own.

- 2+ years experience developing for iOS and/or Android - Experience writing quality tests; our development is test driven - Experience working with RESTful web service API's - A willingness to pair-program, and the ability to be autonomous - Clear understanding of software development best practices - Detail oriented, does things the right way and not just a way that works **WHAT WE LOOK FOR (BUT DO NOT REQUIRE)** - Links to your open source contributions - Links to your previous projects distributed through the App Store and/or Play Store - Experience with Agile Software Development
