Summary
This position will provide support to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Designs, develops, and delivers training and indoctrination programs related to project business or functional processes, skill building, communication, and other subjects using a variety of instructional methods to train all levels of personnel. Reports to and receives technical and operational supervision from training manager. Maintains relationships with department managers and supervisors. Contacts include CNS training points of contacts. Assists line management in the development and documentation of requirements for project positions to ensure that personnel are competent to perform assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and track new personnel training status, initiating position assignment forms and training position descriptions as required for new personnel or existing personnel with changing responsibilities. * Assign UPF specific training requirements to project personnel. * Interface with departmental contacts to implement required reading on command media modifications. * Conduct needs analyses with the assistance of senior training analysts and assist in the development of project specific briefings and web based content. * Assist the training manager in monitoring the effectiveness of project training programs. * Interface with project management and subject matter experts to identify training needs and recommend solutions. * Evaluate and/or oversee subject matter experts or contractors to develop and/or administer project training solutions. * Generate and communicate status of training reports to project personnel in order to avoid training delinquencies on required training utilizing both the Y-12 and Bechtel Learning Management Systems. * Utilize training database to ensure training records are maintained in accordance with applicable procedures.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * High School Diploma with 5 years of progressive professional experience, including two years of experience relevant to training * Must be a US citizen. * Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education * Must be able to obtain site security badge for access to work site. **Minimum Qualifications:** * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Knowledge of technical vocabularies and terminology common to the assignment. * Demonstrated ability to interface with personnel at all levels. * Ability to develop and analyze information for studies and reports. * Must be able to work overtime as required. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Working knowledge of generic learning management systems principles. * Knowledge of training records management principles. * Understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) processes. * Working knowledge of Y-12 SAP training system. * Working knowledge of the Bechtel LMS. * Working knowledge of the LEARN learning management system. * Knowledge of Bechtel’s organizational structure, functions and procedures. * Demonstration of Bechtel’s “Zero Accident” philosophy through personal safe behavior/work practices. * Knowledge of Six Sigma philosophy and activities.
