Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic Director, Data Analytics and Client Reporting to join our team at our office in Boston. The Director, Data Analytics and Client Reporting will be responsible for leading and managing a team of business analysts, developers, and healthcare researchers that provides the analytic infrastructure and data solutions to address the business needs of Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) and its parent company Beacon Health Options.
Responsibilities
* Foster and enhance collaboration and teamwork to ensure the production of reports, data, and analyses that meet the needs of the organization and contractual obligations * Work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders. Represent both MBHP and Beacon Health Options Data Analytics department internally as well as externally with state agencies, health plans, provider, and professional groups, and consumer groups. * Track and monitor the status of business request to ensure customer satisfaction and appropriate use of staff resources to meet needs * Ensure both all deliverables contract as well as internal are produced accurately and in a timely manner * Proactively identify and create data solutions to provide Beacon leadership with information and tools to monitor and manage business areas such as healthcare cost and utilization, finance, population health, clinical outcomes, provider network patterns and variations * Interpret and translate data clearly and succinctly for all audiences, including non-technical colleagues and prepare written and oral data presentations * Collaborate with IT and business units to advance the organization’s reporting capabilities and continuously improve their utility and accuracy * Provide departmental staff expertise and consultation in, software and reporting technology (SQL. Cognos, Business Objects); data analysis and statistics; managed care; healthcare/behavioral health; and Medicaid
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, Information Systems or Equivalent work experience required. Masters’ Degree preferred. **Relevant Work Experience:** * Minimum five years of experience as business/research analyst within a healthcare/managed care environment and three (3) years in a management role. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** * Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate an create consensus * Solid knowledge of Cognos, Business Objects application suite (Crystal Reports, Enterprise and Analysis), other OLAP reporting tools. * Expertise with reporting from complex data systems including claims and enrollment data, experience with analytics in data warehouse environment * Excellent organizational, project management experience in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong knowledge of managed care data reporting and analysis such as HEDIS, quality of care studies, benchmarking, predictive modeling and risk stratification
