Website Developer

Provide Website Development support to the Division of Enterprise Web Systems.

• Designing interfaces for data retrieval tools;
• Graphic design;
• Interface for a Flash-based data visualization application and working with informational graphics including data visualization, such as maps, charts, timelines; and
• Design/development of web site and portfolio samples.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education:

• 2-4 years experience designing, developing and maintaining web sites for internal or external communications.
• Proficient in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (and popular libraries such as JQuery, AngularJS, etc.)
• Experience in designing large interactive websites (web portfolio, please)
• Experience in highly trafficked websites
• Experience working on both Windows and UNIX environments
• Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Knowledge of design principles, typography, user interface, web standards, and usability

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Working knowledge of PHP, SQL, PERL is a plus
• Working knowledge in responsive/adaptive design is highly desirable
• Working knowledge with a Content Management System is highly desirable
