Responsibilities
We build software that enables entrepreneurs worldwide to connect with the capital and specialized advice they need to grow, finance or sell their business. Our service-oriented platform includes a search and recommendation engine, tools for messaging, analytics and workflow management, and a mobile app. As a Back-end Engineer at Axial, you will contribute by building reactive, modular, and scalable services in Python to improve and extend our platform. * We write our services with Pyramid * We write our tests with Pytest * We store our data in Postgres 9.4 * We distribute our messages using Kafka
Ideal Candidate
* 1+ years building web services with modern Python frameworks. This includes web frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, Pyramid) as well as Object Relational Mappers (e.g. SQLAlchemy). * Extensive SQL experience * Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems * You are naturally curious and enjoy learning * You enjoy interacting with people * You enjoy being a part of a team and helping others
