Summary
Member of the Payroll team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of ARYZTA Canada’s weekly and bi-weekly payroll, administer timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external contacts.
Responsibilities
* Perform daily payroll department operations, for Canadian workforce * Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely * Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports * Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance, as needed * Execute eTime time and attendance processing and interface with payroll * Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed * Process manual checks * Review and process new hire data received from the Canadian HR team * Other duties as assigned by the Payroll Management Team
Ideal Candidate
* High School Diploma/GED * Canadian Payroll certification (PCP, Payroll Compliance Practitioner) preferred and will be required to attain during employment * 4-6 years experience processing multi-state, high-volume payroll * Working knowledge of payroll best practices * Strong knowledge of federal and provicial regulations * Strong PC skills including advanced proficiency in Excel * Working knowledge of eTime, ADP and/or Ultimate Software preferred * Strong work ethic and team player * High degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity * Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material * Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills * Ability to communicate with various levels of management * Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills * Canada payroll experience preferred but not required.
