Summary
Armstrong Flooring, a division of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Commercial Sales Representative to be located in Denver, CO. The Commercial Sales Representative will be accountable for achieving or exceeding budgeted sales, volume/mix, and profitability targets with architectural and design community through wholesale distribution. Additionally, the Commercial Sales Representative will be partnering with the local distributor to close projects, administer pricing claims, and training.
Responsibilities
- Drive and grow profitable sales of Armstrong products. - Build relationships with distributors to achieve customer satisfaction and financial goals. - Influence the distributor to focus on and sell Armstrong products. - Communicate and implement pricing, marketing programs/promotions, and initiatives to drive the business. - Successfully execute new product launch initiatives. - Conduct training for the distributor organization in the areas of selling skills, product knowledge, technical information, installation, as well as company policies and procedures relating to the distributor. - Develop local and regional promotions and coordinate Lancaster based promotions aimed at increasing sales volume in all product categories. - Execute the sales call process and accurate job tracking (sets the stage, fact finds and listens, presents total Armstrong value, manages objections and finds solutions for targeted accounts). - Regularly make joint sales calls with distributor sales representatives and management personnel with the primary emphasis to close business. - Assist the distributor in the yearly business planning process by establishing sales, marketing, service and financial objectives and, with the regional manager, conduct quarterly review sessions regarding the yearly plan. - Monitor and evaluate the market and activities and products of the competition.Identify SWOT and develop plan to address issues/problems/opportunities. - Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience in the floor covering industry - Valid driver's license - Excellent knowledge of company's products and pricing practices - Excellent selling skills - Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Professional appearance and presentation - Self-starter, organized, aggressive, good communicator, and team player **Desired Qualifications for the Commercial Sales Representative:** - 5+ years of sales experience
