Senior Business Analyst of Technology Management Operations

The Senior Business Analyst, Technology Management Operations will work with Technology and Product leaders at the largest independent AdTech company in the world to develop and support key cross-functional processes such as our product-engineering planning process, produce reports to help our leadership team effectively manage the organization, and own and optimize productivity tools utilized by many teams at AppNexus. A solid performer in this role will advance quickly and have the opportunity to own entire initiatives end-to-end.

**In the first six months you will:** * Work with Tech and Product senior leaders to manage and improve our quarterly Product-Engineering planning process * Produce regular bug reports and incident reports and work with tech managers to make them more accurate and more actionable * Consult with stakeholders to customize and administer our issue management system (JIRA), which is utilized by the entire Technology organization **Later you will:** * Drive consensus across teams and stakeholders – who often have different or conflicting opinions – in order to implement new measurements and processes * Lead the effort to ensure the Tech Leadership team has a cohesive and useful set of metrics and reporting across our Business Units, with a particular focus on platform reliability * Collaborate with other teams in AppNexus, including our client-facing Account teams and Product Development team to improve, implement and manage our incident process and other cross-Tech processes

The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to lead through influence rather than direct control, is comfortable driving consensus across multiple stakeholders, and is data-driven in outlook. **You have:** * 5+ years of experience working as an analyst (experience in Ad Tech not required) * Proven success in partnering with stakeholders to design and execute process improvement efforts, leveraging effective project management practices, and thoughtfully implementing change management * Demonstrated experience managing by influence and getting things done through people you do not mange directly * Ability to determine the most important, impactful parts of a process and design the simplest viable solution that achieves the most important goals * Demonstrated ability and affinity for learning new tools * Experience analyzing and packaging data using Excel and other tools to support decision making * Excellent written and verbal communications skills **You are:** * Assertive, yet collaborative * Self-directed, yet coachable * Able to modify your communication style depending on who you’re working with * Eager to learn things and master new skills * Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude * Someone who enjoys working with others **More about you:** * You are passionate about a culture of learning and teaching.
