Corporate Senior Accountant

AppNexus acts as a financial clearinghouse for digital advertising with over $2.5 billion of gross transaction volume flowing through our system on an annual basis. For the over 1,000 partners we work with, we invoice the buyers of digital advertising and remit the appropriate amount to the sellers, retaining only a small portion as our fee. The Corporate Accounting team is seeking a senior accountant to support the general month end close cycle, assist with consolidation and prepare monthly internal and external reporting packages.

* Assist in the consolidation and month end close process * Analyze financial statements to identify unusual activity and take corrective action, if necessary * Prepare variance analysis and detailed commentary for consolidated P&L and balance sheets * Support the financial reporting process, including gathering and analyzing financial data and assist with disclosures * Provide cross-functional support to subsidiary accounting teams, FP&A, treasury, tax and payroll * Help oversee the external audits and support as needed * Support the maintenance efforts related to the General Ledger system

**About your skills:** * Bachelor degree in accounting, CPA preferred * 3 – 4 years of experience in public or private environment * Strong problem solving skills, able to troubleshoot and address issues * Excellent attention to detail and desire to accurately report financial statements * Strong written and verbal communications skills * Self-motivated and ability to work well with others **More about you:** * You are passionate about a culture of learning and teaching.
