Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities:** * Act as a PR business partner to the Amazon Services leadership team. * Drive proactive coverage for Amazon Marketplace, Handmade at Amazon, Amazon Home Services, Amazon Business and Fulfillment by Amazon. * Serve as a global liaison for international PR teams, helping to coordinate international plans and launches. * Write press releases; pitch and secure top media, including print, broadcast and online outlets. * Build excellent relationships with key media. * Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams to drive successful program launches. * Deliver strategic communications counsel to internal executives on both short and long term challenges and opportunities. * Develop and manage strategic public relations programs that drive awareness of Amazon products and Seller Services. * Effectively represent Amazon as spokesperson. * Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges.
Ideal Candidate
**The successful candidate will:** * Minimum of 5 years of public relations experience. * Expertise in consumer, retail and B2B PR initiatives. * Be creative, and think big. * High business acuteness. * Be able to grasp technical operations. * Have excellent written and oral communications skills. * Be a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. * Have an existing network of mainstream and trade reporters. * Possess an outstanding attention to detail. * Have a strong bias for action and standards so high most people would find them unreasonable. * Experience driving awareness for Internet, technology or retail companies. Bachelor’s degree required.
