Senior Product Manager

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for our content delivery business focused on cloud compute partners. This person will be responsible for setting product direction, defining requirements, developing pricing, and managing product launches. The role will involve working closely with sales, marketing, customers, engineering, senior management, as well as a full cross-functional team including channels, service and support, network and operations, integration services, customer care, and billing.

* Refine product strategy and test with customer segments and sales representatives * Present product vision to company executives and across functions within company * Identify key market adoption milestones and manage team to accomplish those milestones * Conduct financial analysis of product usage, revenue and costs across market segments and geographic regions * Develop a business and market communication plan encompassing the end-to-end needs of customers distributing content for the purposes of entertainment, gaming or social applications * Write complete and succinct product requirements connect vision and technology with sufficient detail that engineering team can build products within agreed upon timeframes and budget * Define and roll-out positioning of business solutions and create go-to-market plan * Identity and implement partnerships for offering Akamai customers a complete solution for their business model * Create sales training and product collateral in conjunction with Product Marketing for direct sales channels * Represent Akamai at conferences and other events.

**Basic Qualifications** * Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Sciences or Engineering, MBA strongly preferred * Overall Experience: 5 years of experience in product management or business development with distributing computing technologies, content distribution technologies or equivalent experience * 2 years of experience with content delivery products **Desired Qualifications** * Preference given to candidates with market segmentation and business analysis of products to markets * Situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others and perseverance to handle challenging business situations * Ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities * Desire for on-going challenges and interest in continuously learning about new Internet technologies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences * Must be a team player
