Summary
Provide financial analysis, reporting business and planning support to the Akamai Security CFO. Partner with other members of the Security Finance team, as well as the broader Finance organization, Product Management and Engineering to assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting/outlook, as well as annual planning cycles. Work closely with cross functional stakeholders to drive a clear understanding of business results through clear analytics and regular reporting. Identify and implement process improvements.
Responsibilities
* Support the monthly & quarterly financial forecast/outlook process with analysis of key metrics and reporting. * Help to identify and articulate risks and opportunities relevant to the forecast/outlook period. * Prepare financial projections for key planning sessions including Strat Plan and Operating Plan. * Work closely with Finance, Product Management & Engineering to prepare critical analyses of business results (trend analysis, productivity metrics, etc.). * Help to drive OPEX analytics. * Participate on cross-functional teams focused on process improvement and improving operational efficiencies. * Help to implement financial modeling improvements to enhance process efficiency and support new initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related experience is required. * Minimum 2+ years of experience with financial analysis. * Minimum 2+ years of experience using Excel & Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word). **Desired Qualifications** * Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze complex issues and to clearly link financial results to operational performance. * Clear thinking/problem solving; able to quickly grasp new ideas, organize and understand complex information and successfully lead projects and process improvements cross functionally. * Curious, self-starter who consistently takes the initiative to address questions and build new processes/structures. * Flexible; able to successfully work independently as well as contribute to a team * Ability to lead projects and assignments; comfortable working through complex areas and handling change. * Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines. * Excellent interpersonal skills; can effectively interact with people across multiple levels of the organization and is very comfortable working cross functionally. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Graduate of a Financial Leadership Program. * Familiarity with Hyperion, Salesforce and Siebel. * Experience with process improvement tools such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
