Summary
Manufacturing Engineer-NPI supports the improvements on product cost standards, engineering change management, and new product introduction through coordination of cross functional departments. Be the primary technical leader and subject matter expert for the product change management process for plant operations.
Responsibilities
**Essential Job Functions:** - Lead the improvements on new product introduction coordinating between Product Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance, Materials and Manufacturing Operations - Ensure standard procedures, deliverables targets and high level of quality to support NPI process - Develop, validate, and maintain manufacturing cost standards on new product introduction as well as existing products as needed. - Support manufacturing change management as the point of contact/liaison between product engineering and production management. - Manage operations change management program (CR/CN) to provide status updates and transparency to leadership team regarding engineering product changes. - Execution of work as outlined in a Work Plan - Execution of daily duties as outlined on a Standard Work document **Communication** - Work with cross-functional teams across plant and organization - Communicate relevant technical information including projects & results to all levels of the organization - Secure commitment from the important stakeholders and ensuring critical decisions are taken in due time
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field - 3 years process engineering experience - Demonstrated ability to produce results through process optimization and improvements - Proven track record in project management - In-depth knowledge of Engineering documentation and Quality Management Systems - Comprehensive experience and knowledge in metal products/tools/processes - Strong technical, process focused resource with a deep understanding of optimization. - Able to identify, analyze in a structured way and find practical solutions to on-going process issues. - Working knowledge of machine control interfaces (PLC/HMI) - Strong Computer Skills including: MS Office, Visio, Auto-Cad or Pro-E - Very Strong English language skills - Lean training required - Six Sigma training preferred
