AMS's Hybrid-Electric BuildingsTM Project deploys large networks of battery systems in targeted buildings where electric utilities need grid support. Summary
The Project Developer is directly responsible for leading development of distributed energy storage projects, including support for host site agreement negotiations, permitting, electrical interconnection, construction and commissioning. The Senior Project Developer will coordinate financial/budget, permitting, vendor management and internal communications for projects assigned to them. The position will be accountable for the success of projects under her/his assignment and will partner with/be supported by AMS team members, external consultants and outside counsel.
Responsibilities
Support and facilitate the overall development process on behalf of AMS, including but not limited to relationship management with site hosts, completion of interconnection processes, permitting process through approval, prelim engineering and support for construction and project financing. * Oversee individual development projects, including: budgeting and finances, project timing and planning, risks assessment and management, legal balance and exposure of the projects. * Identify construction-related issues and conduct pre-construction analyses required for local permits, including value engineered civil and electrical work that meets host requirements and contract obligations at least cost. * Manage Engineering & Construction vendors to develop and finalize construction scope of work and drawings. Lead responsibility for monitoring week-to-week progress on each site. * Support AMS interactions with utilities regarding interconnection, metering and telemetry * Support internal approvals for project execution, including drafting or facilitating investment memos and projections. * Stay abreast of market trends and policy research and analysis of energy technologies and markets to quantify market potential and cultivate new development opportunities. * Other job related duties as assigned by AMS management team
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline required. * Minimum of 2 years prior experience handling project management for energy related projects. * Candidate should be highly organized and self-disciplined. Candidate should have demonstrated experience in successful contract administration and commercial interpretation of legal obligations in vendor agreements. * Candidate should be able to successfully operate in a fun, innovative, hard working and unapologetically candid work environment.

Working Conditions

70% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Project or Primavera), telephones and general office equipment.
