Summary
Work as a team member of the IT group to architect, design and develop the Master Data Management (MDM) to meet the needs of Global Commercial Finance, Headquarters and Affiliates. Responsible for data analysis and modeling, developing project documentation, implementation of system design within MDM, extraction, transformation, and loading of data, providing ongoing production support. Work with business analysts, managers, different levels of users, external vendors and other Abbvie teams.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and procedures * Architect the Master Data Management solution such that it meets the needs of Global Commercial Finance, Headquarters and Affiliates. * Gather and analyze application requirements by understanding customers’ business objectives and system requirements and working closely with customers to determine their strategic information requirements and measure performance against expectations. * Develop and refine data models. * Refine conceptual system requirements into a technical design consisting of job flows and program specifications. * Aid in the systems development process, including planning and monitory systems development efforts, coordinating activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables and communicating to management. * Define implementation activities and assign individual responsibilities, assume the leadership role for implementation activities, coordinate implementation with other parts of the enterprise and provide routine status of activities to the project manager, business and/or the direct supervisor. * Document the installation and ongoing maintenance procedures. * Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, status reporting and other SDLC documentation. * In specialized systems (i.e. Kalido) effectively set options, assist in version updates, facilitate test to production migrations and other package-specific activities. * Coordinate and supervise the work of technical/contract resources and less experienced staff as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Skills Requirements** * Understanding of master data management, data warehousing and business intelligence systems concepts is required. * Experience with Microsoft Office, Unix Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and Visio is required. * Experience with data modeling is required. * Knowledge of and experience with a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required. * Experience with, Kalido 9.1, Informatica, Qlikview and similar technologies are desired. * Demonstrated experience with Kalido 9.1 or other master data management technologies including data modeling, staging, loading, hierarchy management is desired. * 2-3 years of supervisory experience is required. * 5-7 years of systems development experience is required. **Education Requirements** * Bachelors in Computer Science or related field required.
