Software Developer

Our story begins over 35 years ago when 3coast began as Robert Shields & Associates. Since 1980, our company has been dedicated to helping Houston-area companies solve business pain and drive growth through technology solutions, people and processes. We believe leveraging technology is key to growing a business. As a strategic partner, we examine the business vision of each client and then build technology solutions to support that vision.

You'll be playing a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of our software systems. The range of projects includes .NET Compact Framework 3.5 mobile applications to WPF desktop apps using .NET 4.5. You will be responsible for writing and coding individual programs and providing an entirely new software resources.

• Reviewing current systems
• Presenting ideas for system improvements
• Working closely with analysts, designers and staff
• Writing code based on specifications
• Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
• Maintaining the systems once they are up and running

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science
• Possess strong problem solving skills and ability to learn and apply new ideas quickly
• Able to work in a team environment
• Possess good communication and analytical skills
• Experience in both back-end and front-end technologies
• Familiarity with each layer of the software stack
