The inbound media specialist will engage in promoting and creating Zoosk’s social media, communication, and content plans into the company’s Search Engine Optimization strategy to promote the company’s image to the public.
- Write press releases to promote Zoosk products and developments.
- Work closely with the content strategist, virtual designers, and writers to execute those social media communication strategies.
- Establish relationships with media outlets who report on Company developments.
- Coordinate Zoosk’s messaging with the outbound marketing managers who execute paid campaigns on social media.
- Develop Zoosk’s communication strategy for growing and engaging followers across all social media channels.
- Constantly monitor Zoosk’s performance on social media channels and develop best practices.
- Oversee and create written and visual content to post on social media channels.
- Develop a media relations strategy in collaboration with Zoosk’s PR firm(s), seeking high-level placements in digital media to grow Zoosk’s backlinks.
- Coordinate public relations activities.
- Contribute to the Date Mix, Zoosk’s dating, relationship, and lifestyle site.
- A Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or closely related.
- At least 2 years of experience managing social media accounts with millions of followers or subscribers, managing relationships with external PR firms, using video editing software such as iMovie, Final Cut Pro, etc., using graphics editors like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., and using PR software such as Cision.
- All experience may be gained concurrently.
