Our transportation system is evolving. Car ownership in urban centers is peaking and consumers are increasingly choosing on-demand and shared ride services over driving themselves. At the same time, commercial and on-demand fleets are becoming increasingly reliant on mobile technology, and autonomous cars are making the move from science fiction to reality.
Summary
Zendrive is seeking a Director of Business Development to be a part of the Insurance Team. This person will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and closing new partnerships with large P&C insurance companies. You will nurture deep relationships with executives at all levels and you will develop solutions that help partners achieve their business strategies and goals. This position reports to the VP of Insurance.
Responsibilities
* Proven P&C executive who can bring existing relationships with senior executives at top 25 commercial auto insurance companies and lead the effort to develop Zendrive insurance programs for downstream clients in target segments * Prospect, develop, and maintain large ARR SaaS and services contracts * Elicit prospects’ and customers’ business, functional, and technical requirements * Showcase the value of our market-leading smartphone-based driving analytics platform * Qualify and advance opportunities, while also owning contracting and negotiations * Develop, communicate, and execute account and opportunity plans * Create and deliver accurate forecasts * Be the “voice of the market”, contributing to marketing and product strategies * Travel across the U.S. to meet with prospects and customers
Ideal Candidate
* 10+ years of sales/business development experience * Track record of exceeding sales targets and performance on a consistent basis * Experience managing complex enterprise sales processes * P&C licensed or willing to become licensed as a broker upon hire * Existing relationships with top 25 commercial carriers * Experience pitching to senior insurance company execs * Experience developing new programs or products with insurance companies using new data sources to assess and price risk
