Director of Business Development

Our transportation system is evolving. Car ownership in urban centers is peaking and consumers are increasingly choosing on-demand and shared ride services over driving themselves. At the same time, commercial and on-demand fleets are becoming increasingly reliant on mobile technology, and autonomous cars are making the move from science fiction to reality.

As Director of Business Development (Fleets), you will do just that. You will be responsible for building partnerships with large fleet companies, and also developing channel partnerships to maximize distribution. Our ideal candidate is someone that has experience in the telematics, commercial fleet or transportation space in a business development capacity. We’re looking for someone who wants to make a big impact right away and is excited about working in a fast shifting startup environment.

* Own the business development process end-to-end for fleet partnerships including identifying prospects, growing pipeline, managing funnel, negotiating terms and closing deals * Build and manage channel partnerships with small, medium and large fleets * Work closely with BD team members, Product Management, Customer Success and Marketing to inform strategy and deliver an integrated experience for partners that fosters long term relationships

* 8 plus years of relevant business development or channel sales experience in fleet telematics or fleet management systems * Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding aggressive targets in a dynamic environment * A deep understanding of the business and regulatory issues facing commercial fleets * Demonstrated success in negotiating, structuring and closing complex enterprise deals. Legal degree - a plus * Strategic thinker, self starter with a strong competitive drive * Detail oriented yet able to “zoom out” and take strategic focus * A business degree; MBA or similar post-graduate degree preferred *
