Safety Manager

We are the original LTL Experts, and we intend to regain our leadership position. We’ll do it by delivering flexibility and reliability to your supply chain through our comprehensive North American coverage and broad portfolio of expedited and specialized LTL services.

Focuses on implementing programs to prevent injuries or health impairment. Collaborates with employee and supervisors to identify and correct potential safety and health hazards.

• Develops safe standard work practices with line personnel and monitors conformance through safety and housekeeping inspections.
• Assures compliance with organization and government health and safety standards.
• Reviews new products, equipment, and processes for potential hazards and recommends modifications before introduction.
• Monitors safety and health performance and recommends actions for improvement.

• Bachelors degree
• 5 or more years field experience or external experience in safety and workers' compensation.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act regulations.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Professional credentials and certification a plus
