Summary

Usability Researcher needed for a contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering customer & competitive insight, translating those insights into design opportunities, then iterating and validating the product direction through research.
  • Designing your own research; experimental design
  • Conducting site visit; ethnography gathering customer & competitive insight, translating those insights into design opportunities, then iterating and validating the product direction through research.
  • Visualize data and customize presentations for various non-research audiences
  • Delivering usability data to influence interaction, visual and motion design
  • Collecting and analyzing human behavioral data
  • Presenting results in PowerPoint

Top Skills You Should Possess:

  • Usability, Agile UR methodologies
  • Experimental research design
  • On site visits. Ethnography
  • Lab Studies, Academic background

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Experimental research design
  • Experience translating user data into actionable product insights
  • Experience delivering usability data to influence interaction, visual and motion design
  • Ability to visualize data and customize presentations for various non-research audiences
  • Ability to inventory and evaluate the competitive landscape for a product
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team with limited supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong PowerPoint
  • Work related experience in Human Machine Interaction or Usability required. Demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing human behavioral data required.
  • Excellent communication skills required. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience designing and running original experimental research
  • BSc. in Social, Cognitive, Behavioral or Experimental Psychology or equivalent industry experience.

  • Experience in project management preferred
