Yext is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for processing all vendor invoices and working with our procurement team to develop purchasing best practices.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Audit and process credit card bills
- 1099 maintenance
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Respond to auditor requests for invoice support
- Assist with other projects as needed
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-3 years accounts payable experience
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
