Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join the growing team of legal and compliance professionals at our corporate office. This position will work with a team of on-site and off-site attorneys, paralegals, and other regulatory team members to help support a variety of projects and perform a wide range of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Draft and review correspondence for a wide variety of recipients including internal and external customers, opposing counsel and third-party consumers * Research general regulatory issues and assist with responding to Attorney General inquiries related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and utility billing * Review and assist with the preparation of template contracts including software licensing agreements and utility billing agreements, among others * Assist with legal and regulatory research related to all aspects of the business, with discovery and factual investigations related to potential and ongoing litigation, and assisting with corporate business transactions including mergers and acquisitions * Assist with general legal research to support Human Resources including employment law matters in the United States, Canada and overseas and * Perform other tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate
* College degree or equivalent work experience required * Prior training and/or experience working as a paralegal or performing equivalent tasks * Prior corporate or law firm experience preferred * Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized, prioritize, and multitask in a deadline-driven environment * Excellent time management skills and a strong ability to take accountability for completing projects with minimal supervision and prompting * Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills * Excellent knowledge of with Microsoft® Word, Outlook and Excel * Excellent Internet research skills * Comfortable learning proprietary software including customer relationship management (CRM) systems * Ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member * Friendliness and collegiality a must!

Working Conditions

Hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.
