Summary
. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical and software skills to join our team. Our Research Scientists are responsible for ensuring the state of the scientific art in existing products, and introducing major innovations that can result in a new product line or a new area of business.
Responsibilities
* Analyze data, identify problems and potential customers, devise solutions and build prototypes, conduct experiments. * Initiate and propose unique and promising modeling projects, develop new and innovative algorithms and technologies, and pursue patents where appropriate. * Stay current on published state-of-the-art algorithms and competing technologies. * At end of internship publish the work the Maintain world-class academic credentials through publications, presentations, external collaborations and service to the research community.
Ideal Candidate
* Pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics or related fields. * Strong background in statistical machine learning. * Experience with manipulating large data-sets. * Proficiency in C++ or java. **Preferred job qualifications:** * Background in content ranking or collaborative filtering * Background in Natural Language Processing, specifically content understanding * Experience with distributed processing, using, i.e Map-Reduce, Hadoop, Pig, etc. * Relevant and solid publishing history
