Summary
As an Analyst on the Consumer Insights & Analytics team, you will be responsible for supporting projects across both consumer and marketing analytics. You will participate in research around Yahoo Segmentation and user LTVs, as well as supporting analyses around Yahoo Marketing campaign performance. You will deliver insights that influence our internal partners’ strategies.
Responsibilities
* Pull data utilizing Hive to help support analytics projects across both consumer and marketing analytics * Work with marketing channels to successful scope, set-up, execute and track campaign data and performance measures * Partner with engineering and marketers synthesize raw data and help develop clear and concise dashboards that will deliver information in an intelligent and digestible manner * Design and create custom targeting for consumer marketing programs, consulting to design the target most appropriate for each campaign * Create profile reports to help understand fully the Yahoo! audience, as well as audiences specifically being reached by consumer marketing campaigns * Communicate with engineers to clearly define data requirements for marketing measurement
Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years experience in a technical analytics role or an advertising agency (with online/web analytics experience) * Advanced Excel skills required (additional experience in SAS, R, SPSS, Unix is a plus) * Experience with large-scale data on Hadoop using Hive or Pig preferred * Proficiency in strategically using data to achieve insights and goals * Exemplary communication skills and business acumen * Understand corporate strategy, and present actionable findings * Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously * Intense curiosity for consumer behavior and consumer products * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed and evolving environment
