Summary
This role is responsible for validating the AC performance of the FPGA, ensuring AC performance meets modeling expectations. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of FPGA characterization designs, silicon measurement and validation of silicon performance with respect to SW performance models.
Responsibilities
* Develop FPGA design methodologies to validate FPGA AC performance * Implement designs in FPGA * Automate design flow in generation of test cases * Drive collection of silicon measurements and use of statistical analysis to validate performance with SW models * Drive updates to SW models to align with silicon performance * Ensure performance quality through manufacturing test * Maximize system performance and product performance yields * Provides leadership in keeping the team up-to-date with state of the art performance measurement and performance validation techniques. * Maintains a high level of understanding of how characterization measurement impacts FPGA speeds file and drive to closure all speeds file related issues * Presents characterization methodologies, datasheet support, various analytics to peers in other engineering functions. (design/apps/tech. mark) * Possess high level of understanding of how FPGA features are used in complex systems and highly demanding applications. * Leads cross-functional teams in identifying and resolving verification issues based on uncertain causes (e.g., design flaws, test pattern bug, testing procedures, foundry defect)
Ideal Candidate
* BS or MS degree in EE or CS with 7+ years of industry experience * Detailed knowledge of circuit AC performance and their dependencies * Knowledge of different FPGA block features and their impact to performance is a plus * Good understanding of advance silicon process technologies and their impact to performance * Knowledge of statistical analysis to assess silicon performance * Experience in writing Perl and Tcl scripts * Fast and eager learner of new technologies
