Summary
The Xilinx Operational Finance Organization is composed of four finance teams, each responsible for providing financial leadership & support for one of the Company’s major functional business areas. The Company is seeking to hire three (3) class of 2016 MBA candidates to fill summer 2015 financial analyst internships.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations & Quality Finance * Supply Chain Management * New Product Introduction / Quality Marketing & Product Development Finance * Product Development – silicon & software * Product Marketing – new product definition, competitive benchmarking & GTM Global Sales & Marketing * Field & Channel Sales * Technical Customer Support * Strategic Market Segments * Communications Business Unit Corporate Finance * Business Planning & Company Level Financial Modeling * Product Line Performance Measurement * G&A Functional Support Xilinx finance Internships are structured around strategic projects that require 4-8 weeks to complete. It is typical for each intern to be involved in 2-3 discreet projects, some requiring collaboration with other interns to complete. Examples of projects from past cycles are: * Develop a what-if model that projects Xilinx share price based on several key assumptions (i.e. sales and profit growth) * Identify relevant correlations between Xilinx and its customers’ sales performance by geographic region and end-market * Decompose a division’s human resource costs by geographic site, function & job skill to identify cost optimization opportunities
Ideal Candidate
* MBA from a top ranked & nationally recognized business school * BA/BS in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or engineering field * Strong academic achievement at the undergraduate and graduate level * 3-5 years practical work experience prior to graduate school * Strong problem solving & critical thinking skills * Strong analytical techniques and modeling skills * Effective verbal and visual presentation skills * Ability to work within a dynamic cross-functional team environment * Positive attitude and strong personal desire to “make a difference” * Demonstrated extracurricular involvement is desired (i.e. volunteer work, student council, etc…)
