Summary
Develop, implement and oversee application of methodologies, tools, models, processes and analysis required to balance Delivery operational performance, Financial performance and Risk Mgmt for the benefit of all stakeholders. Supports Delivery System Capital and O&M funding process and the investments for system sustainability initiatives. Develop, implement and oversee application of methodologies, models and processes required to conduct risk analysis review of major projects from the various business areas and Operating Companies in accordance with the Investment Review Committee policy document. Reviews Transaction Review Ccommitee transactions and supporting risk analysis for strategic and operational initiatives as required by the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management.
Responsibilities
- Directs and controls the use of probability, statistical and actuarial methods and models in analyzing Delivery system risk. - Lead the risk evaluation of capital expenditures and system sustainability efforts for the various OpCos. - Guide the development of processes, methodology, models to implement the IRC policy. - Oversee the risk review of IRC projects from the various business units and OpCos and review TRC transactions. - Oversee complex risk analysis of strategic and operational initiatives as required by the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management. - Attract, recruit and retain qualified team members. Communicate company, business area and departmental goals and objectives. - Establish and communicate clear performance expectations. Foster an environment that supports career development of team members.
Ideal Candidate
- BS/BA in Engineering, Mathematics or Business - 7 years statistical modeling and analysis experience in utility industry or closely related field - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Proven analytical, engineering and financial analysis capabilities **Preferred** - Electrical Engineering and advanced degree strongly preferred - Electric distribution engineering experience - Knowledge of Xcel Energy information systems highly advantageous - This position requires a behavioral assessment prior to being considered for an interview.
