Summary
CMX Technologies/Xator Corporation is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer in Springfield, VA . This position will provide systems engineering support for systems currently in planning/development or that are currently in the acquisition project life cycle. Supports activities and tasks related to the roadmap. Supports activities related to on-going requirements definition and capability definition, interface design, as well as implementation approach for capabilities. Provides support for deployment of the Integrated Analytical Environment (IAE), Structure Observation Management (SOM) and Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) to our Partners. Actively coordinates with the Senior Systems Engineer and Architect.
Responsibilities
* Application of “Best Engineering Practices” across projects. * Establishing system methodologies and standards. * Overseeing the development of system architectures against established requirements and standards. * Maintaining a rapport and positive business relationships with appropriate organizational entities. * Providing technical advice and expertise to project team members. * Maintaining an awareness of assigned tasks/projects and understanding the technical interdependencies. * Actively coordinating with the Senior Systems Engineer and Architect on all engineering and architectural matters.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related scientific or technical discipline with at least five (5) years or more of total relevant work experience, including three (3) years or more as a Systems Engineer for development programs and two (2) years or more of specialized, relevant technical experience in a DoD or Intelligence Community setting. * Adaptable/flexible to changing requirements. * Possess excellent communication skills, excellent organization skills, excellent writing skills, customer focused, strong interpersonal skills, and detail oriented. * System acquisition experience. * Systems engineering/integration; * **Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance and ability to obtain a CI polygraph** **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in the implementation of ICD 503 requirements. * Experience in the application of security policy, procedures and technology to include Cross Domain Devices, PKI, Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and system hardening/certification testing. * Certified as a Professional Engineer or a Systems Engineer through a recognized professional or educational organization.
