Maintenance Technician

Worthington Cylinders Columbus is seeking a qualified maintenance technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills. The candidate must have a 2-year Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

• Capable of working day or night schedule.
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Must be able to work independently; will be responsible for specific or cross-functional tasks, based on equipment.
• All applicants must pass a drug screen.
• Will be assigned to and required to maintain a PM area.
• Must be willing to participate in continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.
• Participate actively in department/plan safety programs.
• Promote safety rules and regulations.

• Capable of reading and writing relay/ladder logic.
• Have advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC/electrical & SLC controllers and motor control circuits.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing and code books.
• Capable of reading and writing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.
• Possess good problem solving skills, computer skills, and safety practices.
