Summary
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Project Coordinator at our Washington, DC office. Under the direction of the Program Administrator, manages and facilitates administration and financial monitoring of agreements, projects and budget for the program or region. Provides financial and administrative technical assistance to program staff and others, which may include grantees and/or field offices. Works to ensure financial and administrative information is well-organized, deadlines are met, and problems or inconsistencies are raised and addressed. This is a limited term role(benefit eligible) with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2018.
Responsibilities
* Supports, prepares and monitors agreements for grantees and consultants. Drafts agreements, monitors compliance with agreement terms, ensures agreements and payments are processed timely and in accordance with WWF policy and procedures. Prepares paper work for approval, secures signatures, and distributes documents to appropriate parties. * Reviews and analyzes sub-recipient’s financial reports to ensure compliance by sub-recipients with WWF-US and/or Prime Donor reporting requirements. Notifies Program Officers of any problems or discrepancies and provides technical assistance to grantees in resolving problematic issues. * Maintains information and files pertaining to agreements. Regularly monitors on-going compliance with WWF reporting requirements and individual project deadlines. Ensures all project reports are acknowledged and routed to appropriate individuals for review. * As needed, facilitates and coordinates the preparation and management of administrative plans and budgets. Gathers necessary information for annual budgets, annual operations and grants budgets. Systematically reviews and communicates to the team the status of all program budget and expense activity (through monthly cost center/general ledger reports). Tracks revenues by funding source, maintains budgets by project and funding source, reviews and monitors the status of budgets. Identifies problems and formulates recommendations for corrective action. * Provides support to the management and coordination of day-to-day administrative operations and special projects. Identifies, coordinates and expedites the communication of information and issues both interdepartmentally and intra departmentally, as well as externally with NGOs, NOs, and field offices as appropriate. * Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Must have Bachelor’s degree plus two years, or a minimum of four years relevant experience, including knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles. Familiarity with U.S. Government-funded projects is highly desirable. * Organizational, quantitative and analytical skills * Attention to detail * Ability to prioritize and work accurately under time constraints * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Initiative, ability to prioritize and complete work with minimal supervision * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities * Demonstrated ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
