Senior Property Accountant

World Class Capital Group is a leading national real estate investment firm focused on acquiring, developing, and managing high-quality real estate.

The successful candidate will would be able to accurately report and analyze all expense and income accounting for the company’s portfolio of properties and corporate entities. Capable of generating operating and financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Prepare journal entries for the general ledgers
• Perform variance analysis and timely reconciliation of general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• Mentor Property Accountants, develop positive working relationships with employees throughout the company
• Assist Asset Management and Property Management on all accounting, budgeting, reporting, collections, and accounting system matters
• Assist external auditors with year-end audits on select properties
• Assist external CPA with annual entity tax returns
• Prepare lender reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for loan compliance
• Prepare state sales tax returns
• Special projects and other duties as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum of 3-4 years of industry experience required
• Yardi Voyager experience is required
• Good understanding of Accounting processes
• Must be a team-player having the ability to multi-task and is self-directed
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Must be deadline focused, organized, and exhibit problem-solving skills. Able to handle multiple deadlines at the same time
• Strong skills in MS Outlook, Word and Excel required
